The problem with the immediate Disneyland area is that the streets are large with quite a bit of traffic. Therefore, even if you were to run on the streets, they're a bit dicey.

To the west, north and south of the hotel are residential areas but not anything particularly interesting.

If you can get into the surface parking lots, that's a lot of blacktop to run on - until they give you a hard time about it. If you go a bit south on West Street, there's a park south of Chapman.
