I like to buy from local designers, but not necessarily ethnic clothing.

I bought some pieces that were fresh off the runway in Milan from a Vietnamese designer who uses tribal fabrics. I've also purchased from Irish designers, but people have been surprised when I told them where they came from as they look nothing like what most people associate with Ireland. Of course, I've bought from the obvious designers in other European countries.

And, being Norwegian, I have a lot of Dale of Norway sweaters.

I do have an ao dai I had made in Vietnam. I would never have worn it in Vietnam, but I have worn it to a FlyerTalk Do.
