On my recent first F, I took the advice from the Ultimate guide and quietly mentioned to the Purser that it was my first time in F. The CSD and the Purser both made such a fuss over me - the only person in Row 1 - and also my friend sitting at the front of CW who visited me briefly (whom they rather mysteriously knew was with me before the two of us had even had an onboard conversation, and probably had also noticed he was a Gold) - that I wouldn't be surprised if the other F passengers were under the illusion I was someone quite important.

One certainly learns an awful lot of useful stuff on here to prepare one for getting the most out of the F cabin. But it's the little things, like not knowing where the light switches are, that would make the ultra-observant know that one isn't a regular F passenger.
