I agree. For those people who are interested (which, evidently, is quite a few), how hard is it to use the drop-down box on each page to jump to the forum you want. Hell, you could even set a bookmark for the duration of the election campaign... My interest is consistency, and I presume the reason the sticky about OT topics was designed expressly to not have to debate each and every time someone feels a particular topic (for whatever reason) is worthy of a topic in the AC forum! No?
