At that point, his return leg (into LHR) was showing as being fully booked, so he couldn't do the same for the return.

Last night, I logged onto his BA account ( ) and lo and behold, the upgrade my booking option was showing. So, went through the options, only to be told that there were no seats available to upgrade to. So far, fair enough.

This afternoon, I checked EF, to find the return leg was showing J4, so I hopped onto ba.com - only to find that the "upgrade my booking" option has disappeared

The upgrade option wasn't showing before he departed, and only seemed to appear after he'd changed the ticket.

Anyone know whether it might return? He's coming back on Thursday, so a few days to sort this out....
Strange...very strange! I would think that you'd be able to do it over the phone. Considering he's in fully flexible Y (I assume from Y/Y), the ticket should be changeable at any time...even on ba.com

Maybe give them or web support a call?

Hope this helps...ish!
