DEL isn't always so bad. The last time I flew into DEL, last year, it was a very smooth arrival. I flew on the late BA flight. Flying in F I was first off the plane and so also first for passport control and at that arrival time there were no other flights coming in so there was no queue at all. Luggage took a little bit of time but was nowhere nearly as bad as other airports (incl LHR), probably 20 mins or so and I used the time to change some money.
