Good God this whining about upgrades is getting out of control. I'm only a lowly Plat and I've missed 1 upgrade this year that I requested (SJU-MIA), but god-fobid I have to sit in the cabin for which I've paid while AA sells a ticket to a last minute traveler for bucko-bucks, and if that's what it takes for them to stay in business, I'm all for it.

Just at PHL the other day I witnessed an EXP complaning in the AC about being added to the list. The lady patiently explained that 14 of the 16 FC seats had checked in, and there were already 30 people on the UG list. He processed to demand to be added, jumping to #5. At the gate, I didn't see a single person clear from the list.
