I think the biggest news here is two fold:

1. Mexico to Europe coach flights are still 50K (not 60K like US-Europe)
2. Taxes from mexico-europe are about $150 cheaper than (US-Europe)

I am assuming your $190 fee included $25 phone fee + $70 or so in fuel surcharge making taxes only $100.
I recently booked SAN-TXL, TXL-BRU, AMS-SAN for 50K online (Before price increase) and paid $255 in taxes (no fuel surcharge)
