I appreciate the kind words from my fellow TB members. To be sure, it has been an interesting, fun, painful, enlightening, frustrating, exciting, boring, logical, childish, sublime, emotional, professional process to get to this point and it's been my pleasure to help guide the process.

Here's my perspective.
This is the third draft and is the result of many, many months of editing and debate.
The first draft was culled from existing guidelines, TB precedents and 'generally accepted' TB operating procedures.
The TB then engaged in a process to review the guidelines section-by-section, taking straw polls with simple majority rule to settle disagreements over the inclusion and wording of provisions. This time-consuming process resulted in a second draft.
The TB then reviewed the second draft and continued to make additions and amendments.
There were many close votes during this process and as a result there are some provisions that only a simple majority of TB members agree with. To be honest with you, I was on the losing side of a few of those very close votes so in my mind this document is not necessarily as good as it
could be.
The TB is now seeking poster input on the guidelines and may continue to make amendments to the document as a result of your input. A final draft will be prepared and 2/3 of the TB will have to vote to accept the overall document in order to ratify it.
At this point my mind is open to the notion that this document meets the posters desires and needs. But I am also very open to suggestions and amendments. And I am open to the notion that this document contains fatal flaws that make it unworthy of my support.
So I encourage everyone to bring any and all ideas, concerns, issues, etc to the light. Speak now or hold your peace for little while....
