Interesting article (in French) today from Le Parisien. The AF/Veolia joint venture for TGV operations is to be launched next September 15th. Amsterdam and London seem to be the first destinations considered, when this becomes legally possible in 2010. One of the immediate issues is the procurement of trains (Alsthom's AGV is a good candidate) and also securing "sillons" (the railway equivalent of airport slots).
