United has turned pathetic as an airlines. About 75% of my flights had mechanicals. The employees don’t want the airline to survive so they do evil thing things that causes problems. The flight attendants were bracelets to fire the president. I had a delay in Denver the other night. The plane was to depart at 6:50 PM and left approximately at 2:00 AM. Before departing the captain came out and said we can take off but we can’t travel with any luggage because the baggage handlers refused to work overtime. They knew a bunch of them would be laid off in the fall and they didn’t care. We arrived PIT at 5:30 AM and luggage two days later. I had a meeting at 10:00 AM and didn’t have a suite with me. I have hundreds of other stories but won’t bother you with them. The management is doing a lot of stupid stuff like taking meals away from International meals and offering by on board meals. They got so much back lash that they changed the policy. They are pressing the limits on other things and most elites are very angry. Upper management is not very bright and they ignore elite complaints.

I wanted to thank everyone for all the great responses. For those considering switching to UA. The UA for 2009 doesn’t look good. It is hard to get from point a to point b without doing a code share on US. US is much worse than UA and they don’t treat UA elites very nice. Do the 15,000 miles clearly easly?

Thanks
