Use AY regularly to PEK and PVG.

J seats are angled flat beds but comfortable - IMHO much better than AA's NGBC seats. If flying a MD11 be sure to avoid the three across middle seats or the second cabin.

Service is standard AY you either like it or can't understand the Finnish approach and think it very cold.

AY do not have a first cabin so the service is not dumbed down to differentiate. Wines are much better than I have had on BA in club.

One point though flying from MAN will mean an embraer. In club you normally have 2 seats to yourself. The embs. don't have ovens so food is only salads
