Can you elaborate?

I use one, and as others had pointed out, it can be sometimes be difficult to find something to lock it to. I've had to resort to desk chairs (themselves easily removed with the laptop) and to drawer handles (removable with little more than a screwdriver.

But my general feeling is, I just don't want to make it easy. I think (hope) it doesn't take much deterrent to send the thief (who may often be a housekeeper, maintenance worker, other hotel employee) in search of an easier victim.
