When I'm at a hotel with an in-room safe, I'll put my laptop in there. Otherwise, I'll put it away in my backpack so it's not sitting on the desk when/if the housekeeper has the door propped open while cleaning. In the past, I would just leave my laptop out on top of the desk until I started reading about folks' laptops being stolen. But, I don't actively "worry" about it.
