Can any of you Mauritius regulars tell me whether we need to go through immigration in MRU before heading on to Reunion? We'll need to pick up our bags since I assume BA won't through-check them on to a separate Air Austral ticket (not even sure I would want them to try...)
We've got 6 hours at MRU before our Reunion flight. I see there's a Priority Pass lounge. Any good?
IIRC there is a flight connections facilty at MRU but I havent used this myself, if you cannot through check the baggage though you will probably need to go landside. MRU a small airprt and if you are off the plane quickly then immigration is painless, check in however is a zoo. Bags also came off our flight quite quickly. When we left MRU in July the BA lounge was so busy it was impossible to find a decent seat we used the PP lounge instead which is also the Air Mauritius Lounge and found it to be quite decent with similar drinks and nibbles to those in the BA Lounge but arranged over 2 levels.
