We want to go SAN-ANC and then rtn. Vancouver-SAN in Business (on this route with AA or AS, that is 1st) for 50,000 miles each (June 2009)

We have both AS and AA miles, but prefer to use the AA miles.

Both fly these routes, but we prefer to fly AS (more direct scheduling, generally, some AA okay, but others are twice as long!).

Can we call partner dest at AA and book AS with AA points? If, not can we ask for specific flight combinations on AA?
