Take a jeep and go wadi bashing. Also go upinto the mountains and see the nomadis villages...absolutely out of this world.

not a fan of the shangri-la the Zighy Bay looks really nice and can get rooms with your own private beach nice touch, and the dive is amazing out there.
A good friend of mine was one of the first guests at Zighy Bay and said it's heaven on earth!
if staying at Zighy Bay i hear its better to fly DXB as it closer than MCT!
