First, thanks for an enjoyable Saturday morning read. I have printed your report for my files for the day I get to check Romania off my country list.

7. We are from Iowa and are going to Hawaii. Do they speak English?
In college, long ago, I worked for Avis RAC at HNL airport. Many a time I was complimented on how well I spoke English. And many a time I needed to explain there was no place to exchange $$ as it was the currency in all the US!
