I was wondering why I've never realized it was there, and now I see: For me, the $99 price (which it doesn't seem to go below on weeknights, except for Advance Purchase which I never do) is not right, when so often the Holiday Inn on Walnut or the Holiday Inn on Manchester are $72 to $82 AAA (and in some cases a couple bucks lower even AARP).

The $99 isn't worth it for me because I don't need to be walking distance to Disneyland, nor do I need the HIX free breakfast (for my regular OC stays, since I get breakfast where I'm going after I leave the hotel). But even if you add the breakfast cost the HI on Walnut would still seem to be significantly lower. Btw, the HI on Manchester has a free breakfast buffer for PC Plat, that includes both hot and cold and coffee or tee but does not include juice, though that hotel you definitely need the shuttle for DL.
