We're hopefully going to MRU next August/September for 2 weeks (MFU to CW though - so we won't be fighting for availability!!!). Personally I'm quite happy to sit on a beach and swim for 2 weeks (but we will have an 18 month old, so sightseeing anywhere is probably not an option!!!)

From what I have researched myself the weather on the East and South coast can be a bit windier in August, and the West coast is probably best weatherwise. We're actually planning a week halfboard on the North West and a week all inclusive on the East, to get a change of scenery.

I've been calling round a few travel agents and have got some good prices for hotels - in fact it looks like doing it semi-independently may work out cheaper than the package prices.
