FWIW....MrsLA and I have an I class business class booking LHR-SYD-LHR made through ebookers with BA, on QF metal. We fly in 4 weeks time. For the outbound I was able to use MMB to select UD seats on ba.com, but then I went back to MMB a week later and only Mrs LostAntipod was moved upstairs. The return leg seats had not moved at all. I rang BAEC to fix the outbound seats to put us together on the UD and they did; but I was told that QF own the seat allocation on the return leg out of Sydney so I couldnt use MMB for that. Not only that , BAEC couldnt do it for me. To top it off our booking appears twice on MMB under different confirmation codes - one is apparently for BA and one is QF. Strange, but there you go.
