OK, I know this is big news (more layoffs, less flying, lives and careers shattered, a company delivering the final deathblow to its once proud brand), but lets all step back and not lose focus on the bigger issue facing YX:
Does the E-170 have an oven to bake the cookies?
I'm sorry but I couldn't resist. I've intentionally been avoiding this board because I've given up trying to understand the YX 'business plan' if you can call it that. Then I see today's announcement and I just had to log in.
All I have to say is congratulations to Hoeksema. He single-handedly destoyed this airline in ways that AirTran could only have dreamed about.
And with that I drift back into oblivion - this story is in its final chapter.
