I also dislike warm cabins. It's easier to put on a fleece, sweater, or blanket to warm up than it is to cool down if it's too warm (short of stripping, of course!).
Been there, done that. On one SQ night flight, I got so uncomfortable that I took my swimming trunks and a t-shirt out of my carry-on, changed in the bathroom, and spent the rest of the flight dressed like that. I think the crew got the message, because the temperature went down slightly after that.
