The FA is wrong. The literature shows that optimal temperature for sleep is somewhere between 60 and 70 degrees. Whoever is making these decidions (and mis-training staff) needs to go do their homework.

I also hate the warm cabin temperature of BA, though have been able to get them to turn it down in BA F after complaining.

It's particularly annoying/stupid that they would err on the hot side - as you can easily wrap up if cold, but if you are too hot to sleep there's nothing you can do.
