According to tomtom's website the 930 has the maps for the US, Canada, Western Europe and parts of Eastern Europe. It should be possible to navigate without interruption from one country to another.

I have an almost 3 year old Navigon and it can do that so I'm pretty sure the tomtom can do it, too.
