Hello,
I think at this place we can remember the tragedy of flight SWR 111. The MD11 with 229 people on board took off 10 years ago, on Sep 2nd, 1998, as every evening from New York JFK, but did not arrive at it's planned destination Geneva the next morning. All passengers and crew members lost their live when the MD11 crashed into the Atlantic near Peggy's Cove (Nova Scotia) because of an electrical fire in the ceiling over the cockpit.
Most newspaper in Switzerland, Canada and the US are commemorating today:

I remember this morning as if it was yesterday - I was sitting in the taxi to the airport for flying from ZRH to BUD when I heard about the crash in the radio. First I thought I understood wrongly, as I could not believe that this happened to Swissair, "my" airline, which was a symbol for safety and precision until that day for me. My morning flight SR464 to BUD was the sadest experience I ever had in the air - I remember the faces of the F/As having tears in their eyes, but making their job as professional as they always did.
