BINGO! ANA is guaranteeing UA that we will not lose money on the service and since we already had the route authority and they didn't, they do most of the bookings for the flight and then they give us the records a few days before departure.
Usually the flight is pretty wide open, but it has been picking up some steam lately. About 2 weeks ago in KIX they were asking for VDB's and I thought I wasn't going to get on (luckily I did at the last second, though).
