AA has recently sold one of their MD-80s, N9306T, that came from TWA, and was out of service for about 2 years. This aircraft has only 42,405 hours on it, a long way from the 105,000 hours on the most recently retired NW DC-9. This plane will be sent to the Russian front! Note AA's asking price of $5.1M in the following URL. The price should drop even further on MD-80s as AS has recently retired the last 8 MD-80s in their fleet.
