Hi, would be grateful for advice...

My sister if flying from Kuala Lumpur to Frankfurt via Abu Dhabi. Flight from KUL arrives in AHU at 00:30, flight to Frankfurt departs at 02:00. Both flight are with Etihad. So she'd have 1h30min to make the connection. As it'd be her first long-houl flight alone, I'm a bit worried if she'll make it in 1h30min. Don't want her to get stuck on another continent ;-).

Alternative is to have 12h connecting flight (wait for flight to Frankfurt departing at 13:00).

Can you please advise as to how you see it? Etihad says that min connection time is 1h, but as mentioned - I expect her to be a bit slow/confused as it'll be her first flight alone.

Any input much appreciated.

P.S. Also, if anybody knows, would she have to go through any customs/checks/clearance/etc or it's just leaving flight from KUL and then going directly to another gate for FRA flight (Etihad will issue her boarding pass for both flights on the check-in in KUL)?
