Its great to see how detailed this thread is. I got hit with this scam after using a public phone in front of one of the gates at Schiphol. I made one phone call that didn't connect and another that lasted maybe 3 minutes max. Both cost $49 plus change. I've been reviewing several message boards to see how best to deal with this org. and haven't heard anyone mention bringing a small claims action against them. Its a shady organization, but they do have addresses and lawyers aren't allowed at small claims hearings in California as far as I know so that might be a legitimate avenue of getting your money back. Anyone tried this yet?
