I just used the OLCI - - (granted its been 3 weeks since I have travelled - and i weas getting stir crazy!!) anyway there is a new button on the reservation page that says "view upgrade and standby list" this thing is really cool! it shows the number of people that checked in for each fare classs so far - as well as showing your placement in line for each flight on the itin!

was really cool - I found I was first in line at check in and a couple hours later -it upgraded me -

I guess no more 23:59 check ins are necessary.
