So if I understand correctly, I have to buy a latitude fare (usually at twice the price of leisure or tango) in order to use the SWU, which doesn't actually guarantee an upgrade? So, worst case scenario, if the upgrade isn't approved, I've spent twice the money (or more) for something identical to economy class (except for status mile accumulation)? Doesn't sound like a very good deal...am I missing something?
