Hiking the Kokoda (Papua New Guinea)

Anyone here done the Kokoda Track?

Love to hear some reports or hints/tips.

I've done a bit of bushwalking/hiking before in a few places around Australia so have a bit of experience and would also use this as a reason to get fit again.

Am considering doing it around this time next year (yeah, its gonna be a year before I can get time off work) which should be the dry season.

Which company did you use? I'm looking at No Roads which seems to be pretty good and the cheapest i've found so far, certainly cheaper than Duncan Chessel (by about 1/2).

Is Port Moresby as bad as everyone says?
I might have a couple of days afterwards too at Loloata Island.
