Also, in the Ft. Lauderdale area is the Hollywood Beach Marriott. It is a smallish, boutiquish Marriott right on the beach. While it has a pool, its nothing to write home about. The rooms are all very nice with all the new beddings and flatscreen tvs. The last time I stayed there they upgraded my wife and I to a great view ocean-front room with a balcony and as a Plat they did provide me and my wife with free breakfast every morning.
+1. We have taken our (now 10 yr old) son there for quite a few years! Beware though, that they NEVER gave bfast coupons on weekends as a PP, and the lounge is m-f only.
BUT, it is on the broadwalk, lots to do, lots to see, and the beach is 30 steps from your room!!!
