It's not a bad walk at all (probably officially two blocks) past the Westin and the site of the former Bourbon Street. The Platinum has some spacious suites (and even a AAA rate).
Adjacent is the Tuscany, with limited two-bedroom suites. While the Tuscany is cheaper, it's cheaper (e.g. one needs a top-floor room just to avoid hearing walkers overhead) . . . It's more like an extended stay hotel.
