I was curious about it and contacted to one of Asiana agents on the internet.
I got a pretty exceptional answer.
He/She said that the requalification rule in not in effect.
It means that currently your elite status doesn't need to be requalified to maintain the elite status.
Thus once you earn 100,000mi, the elite status will last forever unless Asiana changes the rule.
However, he/she told me that if the requalification rules become effective, Asiana will give further notifications in the future.

Note that OZ never actually promised lifetime status, just hinted its possibility. mogoy's post suggests that Asiana have finally gotten around to giving that notification.

On the upside, it's feasible that you will have two years to maintain status from the 1st October onwards...
