Just received my RBC Infinite Avion Visa yesterday, which I was told by letter about a month or so ago that I should expect soon as a result of being "upgraded" from my existing Avion Visa Platinum. Apparently they targeted the automatic upgrade to certain Avion clients based on several account factors.
From what I can tell, the Infinite Avion is basically the same as the Avion Platinum with a few added travel perks (including TabletPlus membership, which I just paid $195 for - doh!), some added insurance, access to a concierge and the supposed prestige of the Infinite designation.

Benefits aside, I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with the look of the new card. Now that I've seen it in person, I think I actually prefer the look of the Platinum card. Unlike the Platinum card, the Inifite Avion card has no metallic finish and upon first glance, it almost looks like a plain Visa Classic. The blue RBC logo in the top right corner on the front of the card doesn't help matters (my Platinum card had a black RBC logo - old design I guess). It's not until you read the word Infinite that it's even apparent that it is a premium card at all, assuming that person reading it is even familiar with what Infinite is.
As for the "real" RBC Infinite card, I'm told it was offerred to select private banking clients and the basic threshold for qualifying is $1 million in investible assets, not including your home.
One noteworthy point is that the security chip actually seems to perform a function on this card. Unlike my old Platinum Avion card, which also had a chip, I have been asked to enter a PIN on both occasions that I have used my new Infinite Avion card, which I never once did with the old card. No need to sign when you use your PIN, btw. Even after spending three weeks in August in Europe (where chipped cards are the norm) I was never once asked to enter my PIN for my old Avion Platinum Visa. Kudos to RBC for making the PIN process easy by making the PIN for the new Visa the same as your client card. ^
