For that long a flight, I think E+ is always worth it - particularly for $49.00. But then, I am 6'4".
Be aware that if you select the buy-up option, either online or at the check-in kiosk, you get to see and select seats before confirming the purchase. If there are no seats that appeal to you, you can back out of the transaction and keep your original seat.
