I guess what I'm more interested in knowing is how often they switch exit row configurations on the 739 after they have decided which version will fly that day.

From what I can tell, the exit row has changed on my upcoming flights from row 14 to 16 about 2-3 days before flight. How often does it get switched back after this point, say on day of departure?
