Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn

What is your Priority Club status?
Platinum

- Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
yes, a great place

- Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
2 bedroom suite with a king sized bed and bunk beds. We recieved a 2 bedroom suite with a king sized bed and bunk beds with SpongeBob themed room for our daughter which is usually an extra $25 (waived).

- How are the rooms?
Very nice. Roomy and kept up nicely. 3 televisions, one of them a fairly large flat screen that was either LCD or plasma.

- How is the exec. lounge?
NA

- What was good and what was bad?
Good
Nickelodean characters walking around the "mall" area- a lot of photo ops. A lot of activities, some are included with the stay and others are included. The freebies include "Dora's Sing along". Couple of arts and crafts usually for a fee like tie dyeing T-shirts. Although a bit on the expensive side I think the character breakfasts are worth it. It gave us more personallized time with the character, "Dora" spent about 15 minutes just with my 9 month old trying to get him used to the character which he is at the age of being afraid of. 4D movies - sight sound, seats moving, getting misted with water. The star attraction I have to say is the pools. One of them I'd call a water park. It has a pool, a toddler area, a jacuzzi, and a tower with several water slides. Plus at least twice a day they have a mass sliming. The other pool area also has water slides but it's smaller in scale and was closed when we visited.

Bad
I'm not sure if I like the "resort fee" of $25 a day. They should just include it in the lodging fee. The lodging fees are supposed to include use of the water park and transportation to the area attractions like Sea World, Disney and Univeral Studios. Not having used the transportation I feel a bit cheated.

- Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
YES. We paid $160 a day for Florida residents. Our other option was govt rate at $180, either way it was worth it.
