I'm indeed a grad student as well, and I would estimate that 80% of my travel is personal (40% MRs, 40% pleasure/vacation), and 20% business-related.
But I spend a heck of a lot more time in AA's world than the businessman who gets to 100k EQPs but only 66k EQMs.
AND I flight enough purely domestically that I couldn't get by with just my EXP/EMD lounge access.
