That's correct. OT: In fact, I have been using ANA's tool for my other award trips as well. It annoys me to no end that UA filters many awards that show up on ANA tool. Have been calling every evening for 2 weeks and have a very good chat with the 1K desk every evening to tinker my 5 different itineraries. I am starting to be afraid to hear them say, "you sound familiar." =)
Moving on to hotel booking, i see Hilton Otaru is very reasonable at 6000 yen a night. Is it too far from Sapporo by JR? How should I manage my JR train ticket price if I am only in Hokkaido most of the time?
