National Express Dot To Dot Airport Shuttle

Just thought I would share my favourable impression of NX Dot To Dot.

I took the tube out to Heathrow early this morning. I was going to meet a couple of friends flying in to join a cruise in a couple of days. Since it was still the height of the peak on the Tube when they cleared the arrival doors and there where well burdened with luggage I opted to treat ourselves to three one way fares on the shuttle. First off I have to say that the fare isnt cheap compared to the tube. Costing £54 for three of us. Then again a taxi or combination of Heathrow Express & taxi would have been about the same.

Was told we would be on the next sheduled service and would be 10 to 15 minutes. The agent came and found us when the shuttle showed up. Took us to the pick up point and then loaded the bags. I was expecting the interiior to be pretty much like any airport shuttle I had taken in the US. I was very pleasently surprised. Instead of a bench row you had individual seats similar to the drivers. Plenty of leg room etc.

It still took an hour or so to get to the hotel but my friends weren't in any rush since they still had a few hours till the official check in time. They where just happy to relax, not worry about their bags or crowded tubes and no schlepping from the tube station to the hotel.

So as long as you are staying within the area served by NX dot To Dot and are neither on a budget nor in a rush. Then I would recommend using this. Now they just need to spread it out to the area of London I live.....
