For Austria, it's just city despite foreign place of birth. My partner and her nephew have some very-strange sounding (to an Austrian) place of birth.
what happens if a person was born in London? The Austrian passport will just say "Place of Birth: London" right? How will an airport immigration official or airline agent know which London you were born in?
