The MUC fire fighters and crew did exactly what was to be done in the right time frame. Press (as usual) has to fill the gaps left by the summer and hypes up things beyond proportion.
That's not the issue that most are concerned about. What irks even me is a statement by the airline as well as the airport claiming that the passengers were pretty much never in danger.

The video confirms otherwise. A plane with full fuel tanks for the upcoming departure is dangerous if it catches fire.

I certainly believe the MUC fire fighters did a proper job, had they not the outcome might have been not as good.
