It depends when (or if) the evacuation was commanded and whether the crew was aware about the seriousness of the incident.

I would not be very amused, when the plane is being evacuated, I want to go out quickly (as we learned in our safety-training) and a fat bigshot is standing in my way because he needs to grub in the overhead-bins for saving his stuff.
