Movies on flights between DEN and West Coast?

Usually, on video equipped aircraft, they show a "short subject video" on flights to the west coast from DEN. I noticed today when looking at the flight status screen on ual.com that the entertainment on flights over 2.5 hours (but below the stated 3.0 hours which qualifies for a movie) listed "movie" as the entertainment. Since PDX and SEA flights show a "movie" listed and the LAX flights show the short subject, I can only imagine that the new cut off for movies is 2.5 hours rather than 3.0 hours...OR this could just be a ual.com error I have flown multiple times between PDX and DEN and never have they shown the movie.
