i have looked on checkmytrip.com and it just shows my normal economy flights but it has allocated me seats 5a & 5b. these are ticked green and show as confirmed. The plane is a 737-800 so no sky bed as only a 4 hour flilght

my qantas booking shows me as waitlisted for an upgrade. the flight looks half empty but im not sure of my chances of getting my upgrade.

do i have to just wait until the day?

Is there no way of finding out sooner. or checking how many people are waitlisted etc
