It certainly must, because we've also had posted elsewhere that those who upgrade their status from A to RA within a few months of renewing their A status no longer get anything more than a luggage tag and card, no BOGO or 5K cert. You've been quite lucky on both accounts (full kit plus 1-year lifespan for a BOGO).
