You may notice this when you walk around the plane, but it's noisy everywhere! You're on a freakin' giant aircraft whipping through the air at 500+ knots, with four huge screamin' engines. The constant announcements, "please fasten seatbelts", are equally loud throughout the aircraft as well. The only place it might be less noisy is in the toilet? After the first few hours you get used to it, and ~ 14 hours later you'll be saying to everyone, "pardon me". Just pick a seat, A or J if traveling alone and enjoy. Choose a different one for the return if you see one you think is better?
